Hello, and welcome to The Energy Connection. My name is Linda Hunt and I appreciate you stopping by. I am a licensed nurse in both Tennessee and Ohio and I am a Certified Healing Touch Practioner. I am a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association and Healing Touch International. I practice Healing Touch therapy. I also do Shamanic Toning and Massage Therapy and am now taking sessions by appointment in the Nashville, Tennessee area. I do medicine wheel healings by appointment and can teach earth based healing practices to anyone wishing to begin on the shamanic path of healing oneself and the earth. Vibrational Therapy is the process of using sound, through instrument or voice, to bring vibrational harmony to the person or environment that is engaging in the therapy.

The human body heals itself. Its healing systems are operating continuously. In western medicine, doctors may facilitate healing - for instance, a doctor may align two pieces of a broken bone - but, it is the body that performs the healing.
When the body's healing systems are overburdened with the stresses and contaminants of modern lifestyles, they can "disconnect" or become blocked. Healing Touch therapies re-activate and support the body's energy systems so that necessary healing can occur.
The Healing Touch practitioner creates a safe, relaxing and caring environment in which to energetically assist in the type of healing that the client is open and ready to receive.

The roots of Healing Touch are in nursing. State boards that regulate nursing practice, recognizing the strength of this work, have designated Healing Touch as being within the scope of the practice of a nurse who has achieved advanced education within this therapy.
The national nursing organization of classification, NANDA, has also recognized Healing Touch as an intervention to respond to the nursing diagnosis of Energy Field Disturbance.
Research has shown that surgical wounds and burns heal faster, circulation and breathing following surgery improve and premature infants have better growth rates with the use of Healing Touch Therapy.
All Healing Touch practitioners are required to operate within the legal framework of their scope of practice. This scope of practice is dependent upon the underlying education, experience, and legal privilege that has been accorded a given individual.
